  1. Devin and Team – Thank you! Thank you for choosing to go and serve, using your various abilities and personalities!
‘Every time I think of you, I thank God for you. Day and night you’re in my prayers, as I call to mind your work of faith, your labor of love, and your patience of hope. It is clear, friends, that God not only loves you very much but also has put his hand on you for something special.’ 1 Thess. 1:2-4 (MSG)
Happy Valentine’s Day! You are greatly loved!!

Cold and windy in Wisconsin. Just drove back from Madison. I had birthday dinner with Joanne and Julie at the Blue Marlin last night. Great seafood.

  4. Dear Missionaries, thank you for the news and photos of your work and play and of the people and places there. Valentine’s Day weekend here, with a family gathering last evening for a patriarch birthday at 92, along with fussing over and spoiling his great-grandchild, age three. Much visiting and watching old Kodachrome slides by the family’s eldest, a librarian and world traveler, now nearly 95. We met a niece’s new beau, her classmate, a 2nd year med student at the U of M. Interesting for you is that this niece is following her older sister into medicine, one who first caught the bug when Dr. Thompson arranged for her to spend a day shadowing Tanzanian physicians at Nyakato some six or seven years ago. She was there as a college senior biologist/botanist cataloging medicinal plants. She’s now finishing a residency in family medicine and married to a Navy Ob/Gyn. So, in case you may wonder if what you are doing there makes ripples in time and space, both far and wide, be assured that is does. Keep on, and many thanks! John
